Aloha everyone, we are pleased to announce that as of February 1, 2024, we have resumed the majority of our services that include, canvas stretching, all framing, delivery, installation and in-person design consulting by appointment. As of August 8th, 2023, we were burned out of existence, along with the entire West Maui Center ohana of tenants and the majority of Old Lahaina Town. It is with a heavy heart to announce to all of our loyal customers and dear friends that have supported us through 15 years of pure joy in working with you all and the previous 15 years Metropolitan has been around in it’s heyday to say that we will be closed for the time being due to the Lahaina Wildfires aftermath. We especially thank all of our loyal customers that recommended us to their dear friends and family. This preventable tragedy, stole our precious way of life from us, but left us with a stronger community that will rebuild Lahaina. To all that have visited our website, possibly searching for answers of what happened to us, I sincerely apologize for not responding sooner. Rest assured, my 95 yo father, my 18 yo daughter and I miraculously survived the wildfire that consumed 90% of our Lahainaluna neighborhood as we watched the devastation unfold throughout that night. Our house was spared with a handful of others and I grieve for my neighbors that lost so much more. Lastly, Metropolitan Fine Art & Framing will return, we will rebuild and we will see each other before then.

Established in 1995.
Metropolitan Fine Art & Framing was refocused from the former Metropolitan Art Gallery in Front Street, Lahaina, Maui and Metropolitan Art Gallery in Yokohama, Japan. We have relocated two blocks above the tourist hub of Front street Lahaina and are conveniently located with easy access from our spacious parking area. Rare pieces and authorized prints are displayed for sale in our design studio. Framing of art has become our central focus with a wide variety of services. Our clients have had many master hands take great care of their art over the years and have maintained the highest level in quality and attention to detail.

Business Owner, Jeff T.
Art has always been a major influence in my life and has allowed me to perceive things differently. I was raised in a family of artists that had very humble beginnings that centered on entrepreneurial achievements that lead to the freedom to create. This is where my love for art began, at the height of my Grandparent’s artistic endeavors. I was surrounded by their creations and had great admiration for their ability to create. Nearly my entire childhood was under the influence of their artisan lifestyle, until I was of age to pursue my own course centered on nature’s designs, the ocean depths and it’s motions. Now after 25 years of isolation from the art industry, I have rekindled my passion for art. Thus, for the last 10 years, It has been a tortoise’s race in the framing of art. My love for innovation and design continue to further my pursuit to create my own envisions.
